Start at Johnson County Community College. Finish at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus. That’s the premise behind Start2Finish, an educational partnership between JCCC and KU Edwards Campus.

That’s also the premise behind the Fourth Annual Start2Finish 5K Run-Walk benefiting undergraduate scholarships. Last year our number of participants more than doubled to 400!

The 5K race begins at JCCC, and then continues down Quivira Road to end at the KU Edwards Campus. See map.

Proceeds from the run will go toward scholarships for JCCC students who continue their education at the Edwards Campus. To date more than $35,000 has been raised through the race.

Event Details

  • Certified point-to-point 5k race.
  • Medals to top 3 finishers in each age group.
  • Shuttles take runners/walkers to the start of the race. Park at the KU Edwards Campus.
  • Special gift for race finishers
  • Mist stations along the course

Cost

  • $22 online through July 20 or at packet pick-up on July 22. $28 on race day, July 23. Special buddy rate when you register with a friend.

Post-race activites:

  • Free food for everyone: Sarpino's pizza, yogurt, sno-cones, fruit and more!
  • Short-distance race for kids ages 2 to 8
  • Visits from Big Jay and Baby Jay
  • Bounce house inflatables
